Pharmaceutical application

In pharmaceuticals, we focus on oral, small molecule drugs with application in complications of diabetes and infectious diseases. We see our pharmaceutical pipeline as having considerable value, and we will seek partners to fund late stage clinical trials on our novel chemical entities.

Accordingly we will seek to crystallise the value of both the EV-077 series and the EV- 035 series during 2012 or 2013 for the benefit of Evolva and our shareholders. We have received interest in both compound families from a range of potential partners. For EV-077 the negotiation process will be triggered by our Phase IIa results in mid-2012, whilst for EV-035 we continue to add to the data package in parallel to corporate discussions. In addition our Pomecin compounds, whilst primarily for food chain and consumer health applications, have potential utility in pharmaceuticals as well.
