Award-winning resveratrol study

The final results of the large-scale clinical trial RESHAW (Resveratrol Supporting Healthy Aging in Women) conducted by researchers at the University of Newcastle, Australia, have been published in early September, reporting the significant health outcomes for postmenopausal women on quality of life.

The study has already won the first award in the category “Nutrition Research Project”. We are particularly excited to announce this news as the NutraIngredients Asia Awards 2020 has received a record number of entries from across the globe.

Improved quality of life, cognitive function and additional health benefits in postmenopausal women

Throughout 4 publications, the authors reported significant health improvements in the areas of quality of life, cognition, and bone health among others, following daily Veri-teTM resveratrol supplementation. Particularly for cognition, the authors have reported an improvement of 33% in overall cognition. In fact, “regular supplementation with low-dose resveratrol can enhance cognition, cerebrovascular function, and insulin sensitivity in postmenopausal women. This may translate into a slowing of the accelerated cognitive decline due to aging and menopause, especially in late-life women,” the authors concluded.

«What’s really powerful is that 88% of the women stated that they would be likely to continue with resveratrol supplementation after the conclusion of the study.»
