Compounds
Evolva’s two most advanced compounds are:
- EV-077-3201-2 for cardiovascular and metabolic disease. Highly potent, and demonstrably safe, multimodal compound of particular utility for cardiovascular patients who also have diabetes (>75% diabetics die each year from cardiovascular complications). Scheduled to enter Phase I in late 2008.
- EV-086-3314 for fungal infections. Highly potent (100 - 1,000 x existing compounds), broad spectrum, fast-acting, fungicidal compound with a novel mechanism. In development for several indications. Shown efficacy in several fungal infection models. Scheduled to enter Phase I in late 2008.
Other compounds with promising activities include other members of the EV-077 series and EV-086 series and other compound series with application in metabolic disease, noscocomial infections, pandemics and viral infections (HIV and plus-strand RNA viruses such as Influenza).
